Online Practice Period: Transmission of the Lamp

We invite you to join our Open Gate Sangha  in a thirty-day Zen journey.  This Practice Period is a heart- sized retreat, for those who wish to deepen their practice while living in the day-to-day world, offered by donation so that all beings may benefit.

The theme of this retreat is Transmission of the Lamp: we will visit the stories of Enlightenment, through which this practice tradition has been passed for 2500 years.

• It will begin on February 24th, through an opening ceremony in which we make a commitment to ourselves and each other.

• Each day, an email or video Dharma reflection will be delivered to your inbox.

• Dharma talks will be given every Friday evening

• Dokusan (practice interviews) will be given every Saturday.

• For those who are able to join, the practice will culminate in a seven-day Sesshin (formal meditation retreat) at Open Gate Zen Collective, San Diego, March 17-24

  --Hybrid Closing Ceremony will be offered Friday, March 24th.
